1. Dacia Jogger MPV.

Dacia Jogger MPV

We’ll start with one of the cheaper cars for carrying bikes to help you make the most of your budget. The Dacia Jogger is a 7-seater family-friendly car which proves a low price tag doesn’t have to scrimp on quality. It’s well-built with hard-wearing materials and plenty of options to choose from. The third row of seats is light and easily removed which makes it a great car for carrying bikes and equipment. What’s even better is the Jogger comes with an integrated roof rack system for your bike so you can make the most of the interior space.

2. Citroen Berlingo.

Citroen Berlingo

The Citroen Berlingo originates as a van so it’s no surprise it’s so versatile. The Berlingo offers a huge boot space and you can even load your bike standing up without the need to take off any wheels! There’s also an option to remove the back seats to maximise the space further. Not only that but it’s also one of the cheapest vans you can buy on the market and it’s certainly great value for money. If you want to spend a little more, the higher-spec models also come with fitted roof bars too.

3. Ford Ranger.

Ford Ranger

It’s probably no surprise one of the best cars for bikes is a pick-up. They truly do have an endless amount of boot space and the Ford Ranger is a model to consider. They have a large, square-shaped load bay and seating options can be adapted to your needs. The load lip is quiet high though and you may struggle if you are shorter in stature. However, in general, the Ford Ranger makes a great car for cyclists and families.

Land Rover Discovery Sport

If your budget will stretch to it, the Land Rover Discovery is one of the best cars for bike racks and carrying bikes. As a whole, it’s a really practical car which is impressive in all areas. You could fit two in the rear, with the front wheels removed and the seats folded down. or, take advantage of the bespoke Land Rover accessories such as the wheel-mounted bike rack or the tow bar-mounted rack.

5. Honda Jazz.

Honda Jazz

The Honda Jazz is the smallest car on our list but don’t let put you off – the Honda Jazz packs a punch. If that’s not your thing and you need the rear seats for extra passengers, there are a range of different options including sturdy and versatile bike racks to buy. The Honda Jazz provides great fuel economy and it’s also one of the most reliable used cars you can buy

6. Skoda Superb.

Skoda Superb

Due to its huge boot capacity of 660 litres, the Skoda Superb is one of the best cars you can buy for carrying bikes. It’s an affordable and practical estate car that is also extremely reliable. There are plenty of bike accessories to choose from if you don’t wish to store your bike on the inside, including a roof rack and tow-bar carrier to suit the whole family.
